-The Quality Guy
I am a behavior analyst specializing in the assessment and treatment of autism spectrum disorders with applied behavior analysis. I earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego, and San Diego State University. Research experiences in behavioral neuropharmacology as an undergraduate and graduate student were excellent preparation for practicing ABA for the treatment of autism spectrum disorder in home, school, and community settings later in my career. I completed my graduate coursework in ABA at the Florida Institute of Technology online, and later earned a Doctorate of Philosophy in Special Education and Autism Spectrum Disorders at the University of Texas at Austin. There I developed research lines on the reinforcement of operant variability, and the behavioral assessment and treatment of pediatric feeding disorders. I’m also a former Assistant Professor of Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis at the University of Texas at San Antonio where I served as the Interim Director of the Autism Research Center and developed a line of research on ABA service delivery quality, also known as “ASDQ”. My more recent accomplishments include assisting in the development of two startup ABA autism service agencies, and founding the National ABA Service Quality Network in December, 2023.
